Alcohol Awareness & Support
Drinking alcohol beyond recommended limits can increase the risk of serious health issues, including liver disease, heart problems, and certain cancers.
Safe Alcohol Consumption Guidelines
🔹 There is no completely safe level of alcohol consumption. However, to keep health risks low:
- Both men and women should not regularly drink more than 14 units per week.
- Spread drinking over 3 or more days rather than consuming large amounts at once.
- Aim for several alcohol-free days per week to reduce long-term health risks.
Why Alcohol is a Concern in Wales
🚨 Alcohol-related deaths are higher in deprived areas and are a major contributor to public health issues.
🚨 1,500 deaths per year in Wales are linked to alcohol consumption.
